Description:

Sticky Bear's Science Fair Light offers students ages 7 to 12 a comprehensive introduction to the properties of light. Lessons include explanations, illustrations, on-screen activities, experiments and quizzes. Students will learn about prisms, lenses, illusions, after images, light boxes, light as energy, combining light, colors of light and more.

Technical Aspects:

This title loaded and ran well on our Celeron 533, running Windows 98. The program has colorful, cartoon-style graphics that will appeal to younger children. All information is available in text, making this title appropriate for hearing-impaired users.

Report and Conclusions:

My 9-year-old son has learned a great deal about light using this program. He has been able to navigate the program easily on his own and work at his own pace. The lessons and activities have kept his attention while he is learning.

I found the program to be very well organized and easy to navigate. The lessons are geared to students in the target age range and offer opportunities to put learning into action through activities and experiments. This is a great title for classroom or homeschool use.
