Beginning Soundsuses clear instructions for each page along with bright and colorful pictures. By moving the cursor (hand) over any picture, the player can hear the word clearly and listen to the beginning sound. Once two pages are completed, the player enjoys a break by being rewarded with a game. The games include a silly bird carrying a nest to catch eggs from falling out of a tree; a dog chasing cats up trees and a fish swimming in a hurry. This little break is fun and rewarding to the player. It encourages them to finish two more pages so they can play once again! For each correct page or answer, a vibrant smiling star is given. If all pages are completed but some are incorrect the program automatically returns to the incorrect pages for the player to have another chance. A set of tracks are found below and filled in with each correct answer and colored red with each incorrect answer so the player can see their progress. Upon completion of all the pages, the player can either print off a bright and well-deserved certificate, play another completely randomized game or just head back to the mini games for a relaxing break.
