Recommended age range from the reviewer: 10-14 years old, but 12 years old would be perfect Star Rating: 4 stars What parents need to know: There is some alcohol use throughout the book, but always by adults. Shelly is a bartender and wakes up with a nasty headache after a wild party. There is also mention of a few things of sexual nature, such as Shelly shaving her legs in front of Noah and some local lawyers being blackmailed after being photographed at a bachelor’s party with nude dancers.

Eldest (Inheritance, Book 2)

Suggested age suitability from the reviewer - Age 12 and up. Most younger children would be scared by of some of the evil characters and battle scenes. What parents need to know: Being a science fiction novel, this book comes with its share of violence and scary parts. Dragons and creatures battle throughout the book making for many death scenes and lots of fighting. Star Rating – 4 stars

Reviewers’ recommended age group: 8 - 10 Star Rating: 3 stars What it’s About: Bernie Bridges is a fourth grader at the Rotten School, a boarding school to which he was sent by his traveling parents. He lives in Rotten House and has a dorm mother named Mrs. Heinie and a headmaster named Upchuck. No one would accuse Bernie of being under-confident; he knows he can convince anyone of anything if he tries hard enough. He needs all his skills of persuasion when his parents ship him his two beloved pets: Lippy, his parakeet and Gassy, his flatulent dog. The only problem is that pets are not allowed at the Rotten School. Can Bernie pull it off or will he get kicked out of the Rotten School?
